Bill Nighy in new series

Digital Spy have reported that the legendary British actor Bill Nighy will appear in the next series in an episode also featuring Van Gogh.

Bill has regularly been associated with the possibility that he might end up playing the good Doctor himself one day so it will be great to see the great man in an episode.

Now, I have my fingers crossed for Patrick Stewart!!

The End of Time part 2 ratings

The Sun have reported that last night's episode got over 12 million viewers.

I still want to know who the mysterious Time Lady was who was advising Wilf..... answers on a postcard please.

End of Time Screening

Christmas Day episode title revealed

The official BBC website has confirmed the title of the first part of David Tennants final two part adventure is......... The End Of Time Part One.

Fans have been speculating what the title would be ever since it was revealed that it would contain six words. You can read what the BBC have to say about it here.

Davies denies 'Doctor Who' movie plans

Russell T. Davies has said that he has no plans to make a Doctor Who feature film, quashing the rumours stating "There's not enough money and I feel like I've made 60 movies already."

He also goes onto say that he will find the people responsible for story leaks while he was in charge of the show! But has gone on record saying that now he's outside of the programme, he finds it quite exciting when he sees things reported in the media about what is being filmed, and doesn't find it off putting at all.

John Simm: 'My Master is unhinged'

Digital Spy have an article where John Simm reports that his portrayal of The Master in the up coming Doctor Who Christmas Special is "Off the leash. Unhinged. Totally unplugged!"

He has sighted The Joker from the Batman series as one of the influences in his performance this time round.

David Tennant to make US TV debut

David Tennant is sent to make is US TV debut in a pilot for a new comedy legal drama.

The NBC show is titled Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, and he'll be playing the lead role as a top Chicago lawyer who suffers from panic attacks and coaches his clients to represent themselves in court.

I really hope that this move doesn't turn him into the next Hugh Laurie, as it would be a real shame to loose such a brilliant (no pun intended) and talented British actor to the US, but at the same time I am really interested to see what he does with this role! Oooh, the dilemma...

Tennant describes 'sad' farewell

The BBC News website has an interview with David Tennant in which David describes the emotional turmoil involved in filming his final scenes in Doctor Who. The article also contains a 3 minute video with David and Russell T. Davies on the final adventure.

It also confirms that The Waters of Mars due to be broadcast on 15th November will be dedicated to Barry Letts, who died earlier this month.

Dr Who Christmas Special Preview on Childen in Need

The BBC has confirmed that there will be a preview of the 2009 Doctor Who Christmas Special on this years Children in Need on Friday 20th November.

November is looking like a bumper month for Who fans with the next Doctor Who special The Waters of Mars to air in the same month.

RSC's Hamlet to Air on Christmas Day

The Royal Shakespeare Company's televised production of Hamlet staring David Tennant and Patrick Stewart is to air on Christmas Day according to a report in the Oxford Times.

Although no broadcast time has yet been announced, it will no doubt be a bumper Christmas for all fans with the first part of David's swan-song as The Doctor also airing on the same day.

Blackpool Doctor Who Museum to Close

It has been reported in the national press that the Blackpool Doctor Who Museum is to close on 8th November for the last time with the collection redistributed to other Doctor Who Exhibitions around the UK.

This is truly sad news, and (at first) I thought it was a wind-up, but after some meticulous research I have confirmed it is indeed correct.
